Casual Make Up Routine!

Not sure if you guys would believe that makeup can change a girl's entire life, but it indeed boost up a girl's confidence! Don't misunderstood this, I’m not saying that every woman needs to make-up in order to gain confidence, but there're actually people who only found their confidence with their make-ups on! As we have been emphasize, every girl have their own beauty, it just takes the right person to see it!
 Shall we begin?

Step 1: Pre-makeup prep
Do: Start with a clean, hydrated face. When dry skin is a concern, moisturizing should be the first step of your makeup routine. By adding this step to your makeup routine, it helps the makeup to stay on your face for a longer time. I truly suggest you guys to apply face lotion or primer, because it creates a blotchy look.
ATTENTION: Please do not use body lotion as face lotion because the body lotion contains some specific ingredients which are good for the body but might dry out the skin.

Step 2: Concealer
Everyone has pimples and concealer is here to help cover the pimples and dark circles, age spots and large pores.
ATTENTION: Do not apply concealer last. Make sure you apply concealer before foundation as it helps to reduce the amount of foundation you need to apply.

Step 3: Foundation
Foundation helps to cover flaws and creates a more natural skin tone. In case you guys have question like whether our own fingers or brush do a better job in blending foundation into our skin, I personally prefer using fingers over brush as our temperature actually helps blending the foundation more evenly.
ATTENTION: Be aware of the foundation you’re using as foundations are often specialized for skin type.

Step 4: Eyes
Eyes are like the window of the soul, having a pretty eye-look does make a difference!
First, choose a dark brown eyeshadow colour and it apply on your eyelid. Then, heavily line your lids with a forest green eyeliner, and smudge to blend in with the brown eyeshadow. After that, not to forgot your lower lash line by applying a brown-gold eyeshadow to balance out the colour of your eyes! Last but not least, line your eyes as close to your lash line with the eyeliner, I prefer it wings upwards, but you can wings it in whatever way you want! Put on a mascara on the top and bottom lashes to complete your eyes make up.
ATTENTION: Beginners tend to mess up the eye make-up when it comes to applying eyeliner, bear in mind that practice always make perfect!

Step 5: Lips
I personally prefer the latest collection of MAC pink and radish red lip gloss. CHOOSE whatever that top off your look!

Step 6: Cheeks
I personally suggest peach pink to light up my cheeks.
Use your ring finger to gently dab the colour onto the apples of your cheeks. Then, blend the colour into your cheekbones using small circular motions. It gives an apple cheek effect which is really adorable!

Step 7: Makeup remover
ATTENTION: Let your makeup stay on your face overnight can clog pores, leading to acne, irritation and even infection. Gently reminder: use a makeup remover and follow up with a night time moisturizer that’ll restore hydration to your skin as you sleep.

That’s all for today! Stay tune!

Natural Beauty!

Natural beauty is one of the most appealing traits for one to possess. The best part is that all of us are naturally beautiful inside and out whether we are conciously aware or not. With the right skincare routine, one can enhance your natural beauty and feel exceptionally confident each day!

Beginning with the basics, it's highly essential for one to:-
1) Cleanse
You should use a cleanser twice a day ; once in the morning and night to get rid of the excess sebum and dirt on your face.
2) Toner
After cleansing, you should use a toner as it helps to smoothen, calm and soften the skin as well as reduce inflammation of pimples and zits.
3) Moisturize
Getting a suitable moisturizer is best for those with specific needs. For instance, people with oilier skin should get a moisturizer with lower oil content and vice versa

4)Exfoliating
Exfoliate at least once or twice a week to get rid of dead skin and residual impurities that are remaining on the skin.

5)Sheet Mask
A sheet mask is optional but effective for those who decide to give their skin a treat. Using a sheet soothes the skin and allows it to absorb the content of the sheet mask.

How to curl your hair WITHOUT HEAT?

The ’80s had their perms.
The ’90s had their butterfly clips.
The ’00s had their chunky highlights.

Today, it’s all about a head full of loose and easy curls!

A lot of you might question, CURL YOUR HAIR WITHOUT HEAT? REALLYYY??
Say goodbye to your curling iron or straightener because we are bringing to you the easiest and most painless curling method!
All you need to do is, Braid and Sleep!

1. First of all, wash and condition your hair as usual. Comb out your tangles and gently pat your hair with a towel.

2. Part your damp hair into two sections evenly and braid them in french style. To end your braid, fasten each end with rubber band or hair tie.
(If you're looking for a more natural look, gently pull the braids apart using your fingers to loosen them slightly.)

 3. After that, you can leave your hair to dry and go to bed with your hair in braid.
(The braid needs at least 7 hours to be in shape.)

4. The next morning, you can now remove your rubber bands and loosen the braids. Gently run through your hair to give it a natural curl. When you're done with styling, apply some hair spray to give your hair a desire hold.

You can now have extra hours of beauty sleep and still wake up having the best hair day! :)

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

It's been a busy week thanks to the overwhelming response from you guys regarding beauty products and application. Here are our replies to some of the questions you guys have asked us!

1. What can I do to make sure my eye shadow lasts for the entire day on my face?
Yap Cheng: Press on face powder before applying shadow to prime your lids. This lets the shadow stick on the base of the face powder. Also, opt for powder shadow formulas as they last longer than oil-based cream shadows.

2. How often do I need to wash my makeup brushes?

Kathy: Once a month is considered fine. Firstly, soak the brush in warm, soapy water and leave it for 5 minutes. Rinse it then dab the brush with a clean towel. You can leave the brush under a fan or use a hair-dryer to let the bristles dry up

3. Is it advisable to store sunscreen or a lip balm with SPF in a glove compartment?

Jessy: No, With the hot and humid weather we have in Malaysia, the lip balm will melt. If left in certain areas like your car, the sunscreen's active ingredients will lose their effectiveness in the container.

 4. I often apply makeup on the bus to work. Is this unhygienic?

Rachel: Only if you apply makeup with unclean fingers or if you touch your face without washing off the residue. It is advisable to apply your makeup with a brush, which you have to keep it clean regularly to avoid clogged pores or breakouts.

5. What should I do to make sure my makeup stays on for a longer period of time?
Sulwen: The most important part of makeup application is primer under the foundation and eye shadow. This allows your foundation to be smoothed easily on your face without sinking into your pores. Also, use some finishing powder to hold your makeup in place.
